Went looking for a new(ish) car recently. My partner found Portage Motors, and met the delightful sales rep, John. As soon as Mark mentioned what vehicle we had had, and loved, John showed him a similar little beautie. A great car that sat right within our budget. John was straight forward and honest, and sorted a test drive the next day for me. SOLD! All paperwork that I requested was forthcoming with no hesitation. Would highly recommend this company.

Sagar is the best! He helped find an excellent car for my Auntie and really blew us away with his great service, crystal clear communication and reliable follow up. You can’t ask for more. A big thank you to Logan as well, he was also a big help with the purchasing process and can’t forget Adrian who helped setup the extra features on Aunties car and assisted with drop off and pick up logistics of the new car. New Lynn is very lucky to have a car yard with a team like this in the middle of town. Thanks guys, Auntie is very happy with the car!

All the staff at Portage were extremely welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. What really stood out was that he even arranged for the car to be dropped off at my place, which was incredibly thoughtful and convenient. I really want to thank Logan for making the whole experience of buying a car a fun, hassle free experience. I found a car I liked the look of and rang Logan the day before to arrange to pick it up to take it to my Mechanic to have a pre purchase inspection. I arrived at 9am on Saturday and the car was ready for me to pick up. My Mechanic gave it the all clear and we came to a price that worked for all parties. By midday I had a new car and could enjoy the rest of my day. I found Portage Cars and their staff to be professional, friendly, fair and the service 10/10. Thanks again Logan.

I’m Rui. I bought my Subaru 2015 Outback from their store, which is imported from Japan. The car’s condition was almost flawless, but some parts of the steering wheel were torn and worn. Sam also promptly repaired it. Which ensure my peace of mind. I hope my car doesn’t give me any trouble in the next few years.
Sam, the salesperson, was incredibly enthusiastic and supportive. He was willing to openly discuss every step of the used car transaction process, which gradually put me at ease. Although there was a minor hiccup during the head unit installation where some functions weren’t working, he promptly refunded me and agreed to restore it to its original state. The car’s quality is good, and before delivery, he even helped me clean and wax the entire car. Highly recommended!

I would like to thank Caleb, for his amazing service and fast response time. Only a bit more communication would be appreciated.

Also despite having a few unpredictable engine issues with the car’s engine , Craig, Caleb & Mr Hadley resolved the issue quite fast and got it back on the road in no time. However it was a bit funny that the courtesy car broke down the next day as well.

Also enjoyed getting a lovely grooming. The only thing is that l did not like one of the Sales men telling me ” l have issue’s with my personal life and that really crossed a professional border line in client customer relations. In sales and service l always believe in having a good laugh with customers but criticise customers for their social or maritial status. Had no interaction during purchase or service however callers eticate was extremely ride example l asked who’s calling, the portage sales consultant responses Guess who, sometimes a little more formality and customer communications is needed.

Overall l’m enjoying the new purchase. Would recommend portage or to purchase a car with Sales reps like Saga or Logan who above and beyond. 6 stars to them.

Just stay away from certain reps bit there also good in their own way hence 4 stars in this review.
