Vehicle Availability

All vehicles advertised are subject to prior sale and availability.
A vehicle is not considered sold until a signed sale agreement is completed and any required deposit is received.

Vehicle Listing Errors

While Portage Cars Limited takes reasonable care to ensure that vehicle listings, specifications and pricing are accurate, errors may occasionally occur.

Portage Cars Limited reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including vehicle pricing, specifications or availability at any time without notice.

In the event of a listing error, Portage Cars Limited reserves the right to cancel or refuse any transaction that has been based on incorrect information.

Deposits

Deposits may be required to secure a vehicle.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, deposits are generally non-refundable where a customer changes their mind about the purchase.

Portage Cars Limited may release the vehicle for sale if payment or finance arrangements are not completed within the agreed timeframe.

Vehicle Holds / Reservations

Portage Cars Limited may agree to hold a vehicle for a limited period of time upon receipt of a deposit.

If the purchaser does not complete the purchase within the agreed timeframe, Portage Cars Limited reserves the right to return the vehicle to the market.

Vehicle Pricing

All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change without notice.

Trade-In Vehicles

Trade-in valuations are based on information provided by the customer.

Portage Cars Limited reserves the right to revise the trade-in valuation if the condition of the vehicle differs from the description provided.

Finance

Where finance is arranged, the purchase of the vehicle may be conditional upon finance approval from the lender.

If finance approval cannot be obtained the transaction may be cancelled unless alternative payment arrangements are agreed.

Vehicle Condition

Customers are responsible for inspecting the vehicle prior to purchase.

Vehicles supplied by Portage Cars Limited are subject to the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 unless the vehicle is purchased for business purposes, in which case certain guarantees may not apply.

Distance or Online Sales

Where a vehicle is purchased without the customer physically inspecting the vehicle (including online purchases), the purchaser acknowledges they have relied on the information provided and may request additional information prior to completing the purchase.

Portage Cars Limited recommends that customers arrange an inspection or request additional photos or video where required before completing a purchase.

Delivery and Collection

Vehicle delivery or collection dates are estimates only and may be affected by vehicle preparation, registration processing or transport arrangements.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
